I skipped the 2020 vintage of Beyond the Horizon, it was post the fires in the Adelaide Hills in December 2019 and I made very little Shiraz. This fella is worth the wait.

30% whole bunch in the ferment. On skins for 13 days. Maturation in 70% new French oak for 18 months.

This is my serious chap. The fruit is opulent and delicious and exhibits primary characters of raspberry, blackberry, white pepper and some spice. The oak and maturation time help the wine develop a silky tannin with a structure that wraps up the beautifully dense fruit into an elegant package
